Collaboration & partnerships

No one can solve the climate challenge alone, but by working together we can identify and seize opportunities to help each other reach our common goals. That’s why we work closely together both within our company and with external partners.

Working together across Coloplast

Irrespective of roles and business areas, we are all united in our shared mission: to make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs. In the same way, making our company and products more environmentally sustainable requires competencies and efforts from across the company.

For example, the engineers in R&D investigate more sustainable materials for our products, our Procurement team engages with the suppliers of these materials to lower their emissions, and the coordinators in Supply Chain ensure we can get our products to users in time with minimum use of air freight

Making a more sustainable business is truly a team effort.

Inclusion and diversity

Inclusion and diversity

We interact with stakeholders, employees, partners, customers, and users with diverse backgrounds all over the world. We embrace differences and want everyone to feel like they belong and can fulfil their potential because of, and not despite of, their differences.

We are also certain that diversity leads to better results and strive to ensure a healthy balance of gender, age, and nationality within each team.

Workplace safety

Workplace safety

We never compromise on safety for our users and in the same way, providing a safe and healthy working environment for our colleagues is a top priority for us.

We aim to nurture a strong safety mindset and lower our number of work-related injuries for all employees – whether they work with heavy machines in our production, operate trucks at our distribution centers, or spend hours on the roads in sales offices.

Partnering for sustainability

UN Global Compact

Coloplast has been signatory to the United Nations Global Compact since 2002. The ten sustainability principles of the UN Global Compact are a foundational part of the way we do business and reflect our commitment to being a responsible and ethical business.

The Science Based Targets initiative

Our emission reduction targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative which means they are in line with what the latest climate science deems necessary to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and limit warming to 1.5°C.

The Business Ambition for 1.5°C

The Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign is led by the Science Based Targets initiative in partnership with the UN Global Compact and the We Mean Business coalition. We are part of the Business Ambition for 1.5°C and have set targets in line with a 1.5°C future.

Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative

PSCI is a group of pharmaceutical and healthcare companies who share a vision of better social, health, safety and environmental outcomes in the communities impacted by our supply chain activities. We have been a member of Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) since 2022

The Manufacturing Academy of Denmark

The Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE) aims to bolster the Danish manufacturing ecosystem and to create and implement sustainable manufacturing solutions through applied research. Our research within MADE has focused on how to strengthen the infrastructure for more circularity within medical device production.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures

We support the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TDFD) and we therefore report on financial risks and opportunities resulting from climate change as well as our governance for responding to these. The purpose of disclosing this information is to better inform investors and stakeholders about climate-related risks and opportunities facing our business.

Circular Industrial Plastic partnership

The CIP partnership aims to map plastic materials
used by the partner companies and create better
infrastructure and technologies for mechanical
and chemical recycling. Our main focus within CIP
is currently on testing and potentially upscaling new
recycling technologies that may help us achieve
our Strive25 ambitions.

Coloplast supplier sustainability programme

Coloplast supplier sustainability programme

Through our supplier sustainability programme, we work closely with key suppliers to address climate impact, both by helping suppliers to reduce emissions from their activities and by exploring the potential of new materials with a lower environmental impact.
